Over 3m people take part in Belarus’ voluntary clean-up dayMINSK, 23 April (BelTA) – 3,002.000 people took part in the nationwide voluntary clean-up day in Belarus on 23 April. The updated data was posted on the website of the Council of Ministers, BelTA has learned.

An estimated 690,500 people were engaged in the works in Minsk. Some 487,900 people worked in Brest Oblast, 455,000 in Gomel Oblast, 362,500 in Minsk Oblast, 350,000 in Vitebsk Oblast, 351,000 in Mogilev Oblast, 305,000 in Grodno Oblast.

Belarus president partakes in voluntary clean-up dayAn estimated Br67.7 billion was earned during the nationwide voluntary clean-up day. The earnings in the Belarusian capital made up Br20.75 billion, almost Br11 billion in Gomel Oblast, Br8.3 billion in Brest Oblast, Br7.2 billion in Mogilev Oblast, Br7.15 billion in Vitebsk Oblast, Br7.1 billion in Minsk Oblast, Br6.2 billion in Grodno Oblast.

The overall industrial output on the voluntary clean-up day in the country totaled Br142.9 billion in current prices. Contract works worth of Br24.3 billion were implemented.

Belarus Deputy Prime Minister Natalia Kochanova noted that the weather in Minsk was favorable. “Rain was forecasted throughout the country. Nevertheless, people are taking an active part,” she added. Over 3m people take part in Belarus’ voluntary clean-up day
