Lukashenko guarantees peace and accord in Belarus
MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko visited the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God in Orsha on Easter. The head of state attended the Easter service and talked to believers, BelTA has learned.
The President wished health and good mood to people. “Good mood will help us reach success,” he said.
Alexander Lukashenko reminded that Belarus was and will be a peaceful country. “We are not going to fight. But if someone wants to fight against us we will repel aggression. We do not have such enemies. Therefore, live in peace. Everything will be all right,” he stressed.
The head of state remarked that following a good tradition he celebrates Easter in various regions of Belarus. This year the President visited his small homeland.
Alexander Lukashenko presented the icon Christ Pantocrator made by Dmitry Poluyanov to the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God. The head of state received the blessed icon Lord’s Supper made by the Kutein masters.
