Lukashenko: Faith has always been a moral compass for Belarusians

MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko wished a Happy Easter to Belarusian people, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“For every believer Easter is a special miraculous day. It symbolizes the triumph of kindness over evil, truth over lies. This holiday instills hope, love and infinite mercy in our hearts,” the message of greetings reads.

The president emphasized that faith has always been and will be a moral compass of Belarusians, an unflagging source of inspiration to do great deeds for the benefit of out kith and kin, the nation and the country. “It helps preserve and enhance Orthodox traditions and culture relying on eternal values such as respect for the older generation, care of children and people in need. It unites us in the eagerness to create in the name of peace,” the head of state remarked.

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed hope that people will enjoy these festive moments with their families and friends and that Easter fill their homes with joy, harmony and happiness.
