MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to Belarusians as the country celebrates Father's Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“This holiday serves as a reminder of the responsible role men play in raising and supporting children and shaping their successful future,” the message of greetings reads. “A father's guidance and authority help set the right course in life, achieve goals, and overcome difficulties.”

The president emphasized that, from generation to generation, a father's personal example and kind word teach us to respect elders, be accountable for our actions, love and defend the Motherland, and take pride in its history and achievements.

“I am sincerely grateful to each of you for your hard work and care for the wellbeing of your loved ones, for whom you are a reliable pillar of support,” the head of state added.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished everyone good health, peace, and prosperity: “May love, harmony, and mutual understanding always reign in your families, and may the light of children's joy and parental happiness illuminate our native Belarus.”
