MINSK, 2 May (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended Happy Easter greetings to Belarusian Orthodox Christians, BelTA learned from the president’s press service.

For the entire Christian world Easter is a symbol of the triumph of faith, life and justice, thehead of state noted.

“Every year during these joyful days we have a special mood of the approaching miracle. We re-evaluate our actions, share the warmth of our hearts with the people around us, take care of those who are in a difficult situation,” the head of state said. “For many centuries Orthodox traditions have been nurturing the hearts and souls of the Belarusian people with saving truths of Christianity. They have helped us preserve our priceless treasures: love for the native land, tolerance, wisdom and strength of unity.

“May the extraordinary spirit of this holiday help us in our good deeds, bring peace, accord and happiness to every home,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
