MINSK, 7 January (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended Christmas greetings to Eastern Orthodox Christians of Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

“The great mystery of the festive Christmas days is imbued with a profound meaning, and we are always looking forward to these blessed wonderful moments when such simple human feelings as compassion and kindness, selflessness and patience are perceived in a special way,” the message of greetings reads.

“We always celebrate Christmas to the pealing of bells in a family circle. We share good thoughts and kind feelings with our near and dear. Their love and support help us overcome difficulties, strengthen our belief in ourselves and confidence in the future,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
