Lukashenko, Belarusian people receive numerous Independence Day greetings

MINSK, 2 July (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and the Belarusian people have been receiving numerous Independence Day greetings from foreign heads of state, international organizations, foreign political, religious and public figures, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Congratulatory greetings have already come from heads of the CIS member states, presidents of Algeria, Italy, Germany, Poland, Serbia, the Swiss Confederation, India, Ireland, Portugal, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Mongolia, Sudan, Singapore, Syria, kings of Sweden, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Governor-General of Australia, the Supreme Ruler of Malaysia, the Chairman of the State Council and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba.

The Belarusian head of state was also greeted by Pope Francis and the Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his greetings that friendship and team spirit hardened during the severe years of war still serve as a good foundation for mutual relations with Belarus. “I note with appreciation the positive momentum in all-round bilateral cooperation, a high level of effectiveness of partner cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union, the CSTO and other multilateral organizations. I am confident that joint efforts will help us strengthen the whole range of mutually beneficial Russian-Belarusian relations for the benefit of the brotherly nations of our countries,” the message of congratulations runs.

Chinese President Xi Jinping noted in his greetings that Belarus had made great headway in its development. “I pay a lot of attention to the development of the Chinese-Belarusian relations and wait for the next meeting with you to exchange opinions on the issues of mutual interest, expand the relations between the two countries for the benefit of the people of China and Belarus,” Xi Jinping noted.

The Belarus President and the Belarusian people continue to receive messages of Independence Day greetings.
