MOSCOW, 29 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has arrived in Russia on a working visit to take part in the session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State and the 4th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. The aircraft with the Belarusian lead of state landed at Vnukovo 2 airport, BelTA informs.
At the airport the president of Belarus was welcomed by State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko, Director of the State Protocol Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yuri Filatov.
The session of the Supreme State Council will take place on 30 June. Participants of the session of the Supreme State Council will discuss most important matters concerning Belarus-Russia cooperation. Results of Belarus-Russia trade and economic cooperation in 2016 will be high on the agenda. The sides will discuss ways to bolster cooperation in mechanical engineering and agribusiness. The fulfillment of the program of joint actions in the area of foreign policy will be discussed as well as the progress in carrying out priority guidelines concerning future development of the Union State.
Prior to the Supreme State Council session Alexander Lukashenko is expected to meet with President of Russia Vladimir Putin. During the meeting the sides will discuss the most important matters concerning Belarus-Russia bilateral cooperation. The two presidents will exchange opinions about matters on the international agenda.
The two heads of state are expected to jointly take part in the plenary session of the fourth Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia on 30 June. The plenary session will be focused on vectors of integration-driven development of the regions of Belarus and Russia in the area of high technologies, innovations, and information society.
MOSCOW, 29 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko holds a meeting with heads of Russia’s largest mass media in the TASS Club of Editors-in-Chief, BelTA informs.
The participants of the meeting discuss the all-round development of Belarus-Russia relations, including in the social, political, and information dimensions, the cooperation of the two countries in the format of various integration associations, the international agenda.
The event is held simultaneously with the 4th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in the run-up to the session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State.
