Kseniya Galetskaya wins Vitebsk Junior Song Contest Grand Prix

VITEBSK, 11 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Kseniya Galetskaya won the Grand Prix and Lira special prize of the Vitebsk Junior Song Contest at Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, BelTA has learned.

The winners were announced at the gala concert on 11 July. The first prize was awarded to Anzhela Albertyan from Armenia. The second prize is shared between Ukrainian Artur and Moldava's Anastasia Barba. The third prize was also awarded to two contestants: Georgia’s Annushka and Russia’s Kira Gogoladze.

Special prizes of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia went to Kseniya Galetskaya (Belarus) and Kira Gogoladze (Russia). Special awards were presented to other contestants too. The one-week trip to Malta certificates were presented to the participants from Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Italy. Dilnaz Tilepova (Kazakhstan), Sofia Bevilacqua (Italy), Iskandar Hasanzade (Azerbaijan) and Lavalina (India) received invitations to the Riga Symphony Festival from its president, music producer, head of the board of the European Music Center for Youth, member of the jury Helena Schwilpe.  As a composer, she presented Kristijonas Gorodeckis (Lithuania) and Anastasia Popova (Estonia) the most valuable gift for any artist – a song with a professional arrangement. Eleven more children have been invited to the music festival in the UK.

Singer Bosson (Sweden), chairman of the international junior song contest jury, thanked all the organizers and young participants for their tremendous professional work. Addressing the contestants, he said that they are all winners. "I am struck by your performances and voices. Never give up, follow your heart and dreams," Bosson said addressing the young artists.

The winner of the main award Kseniya Galetskaya shared her first emotions after the awards ceremony. “Winning the Grand Prix at Slavianski Bazaar is my biggest and most important achievement. I really hoped for that. But my main task was to represent Belarus at a high level,” said Kseniya Galetskaya.

Kseniya Galetskaya thanked the whole team of the Spamash production center, her family, fans and everyone who supported her during these competition days.
