Belarusian named Super Model Universe 2016 First Runner Up

MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Yelizaveta Shikuta of Belarus was named First Runner Up at the beauty pageant Super Model Universe 2016 which was held in Bulgaria on 1-5 November, BelTA has learned.

The girl earned her berth in the contest after the participation in Miss Grodno 2016 where she was spotted by National Director for International Beauty Pageants Svetlana Kuznetsova (Mrs Universe 2013).

Competing for the main trophy of the contest were representatives of more than 30 countries. The victory was celebrated by a model from Australia. 19-year-old Andrei Ladonko-Svadkovsky from Bobruisk represented Belarus in the men’s event, which was won by a well-known TV host and actor from India.

The Super Model Universe pageant was created with the idea to present new models for the world podium and its best modeling agencies. The participation requirements are: girls 18-22 years, height minimum 175cm; boys 18-23, height minimum 180cm. The pageant will be held in the form of runway shows in the span of 3 days.
