Belarus’ Sabalenka named September 2018 WTA Player of the Month

MINSK, 7 October (BelTA) – Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka has been named WTA Player of the Month in September 2018, BelTA has learned from the official website of the Women’s Tennis Association.

The other WTA Player of the Month finalists for September 2018 included Japan’s Naomi Osaka (World No. 6) and Karolina Pliskova (World No. 7) from Czechia.

20-year-old Aryna Sabalenka raised the 2018 Wuhan Open trophy and rose to a career-high ranking of World No. 16 as a result of the win.
