MOSCOW, 30 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia are committed to enhancing political and economic partnership, Belarus President, Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the Union State Alexander Lukashenko said at the session of the Supreme State Council in Moscow on 30 June, BelTA has learned.
“Today we are holding the most important and large-scale events in our bilateral relations. These are the session of the Supreme State Council and the Forum of Regions. The presence of a big number of representatives of large enterprises and organizations from Belarus and Russia at these events testifies to the closest ties between the two brotherly nations, is a demonstration of a common commitment to the further enhancement of the political and economic partnership,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
The agenda of the Supreme State Council session includes nine issues. The sides discuss the preservation of the potential of the machine-building complex of the Union State, cooperation in agribusiness, the results of the trade and economic cooperation in 2016, the fulfillment of priority tasks of the further development of the Union State in the medium term (2014-2016).
Apart from that, the participants of the meeting discuss the fulfillment of the program of concerted foreign policy efforts, the results of the concept of social development of the Union State in 2011-2015, other issues.
