MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – The 18th meeting of the Assembly of Business Circles “From understanding to interaction” is the central event of the Second Belarusian Business Week, BelTA has learned.
“The current meeting is different because our ideas are supported by all the branches of government more than ever before. In addition, we have support from the business community. This year representatives of the Economy Ministry sent representatives to our working group to draft Belarus national business platform,” said Vladimir Karyagin, the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurship. He added that over the ten years since the establishment of the platform, more than 420 of its proposals have been formalized at the legislative level. “This has contributed to the promotion of entrepreneurship, improvement of the business environment in our country,” he said.
Vladimir Karyagin noted that this year’s assembly can be called international. “We are hosting experts from Moscow, representatives from the United States Chamber of Commerce, the International Finance Corporation, participants from Azerbaijan, India and other countries. We also welcome here big investors, representatives of business associations, banks and investment companies,” he said.
The draft of the national business platform 2017 contains 86 integrated proposals.
The 18th meeting of the Assembly of Business Circles “From understanding to interaction” opened in Minsk on 1 March. The national business platform 2017 will be reviewed and finalized taking into account the proposals of the participants of the event and will be sent to the head of state, the Council of Ministers and the President Administration, all the ministries and departments. The assembly will discuss the priorities for improving the business climate in Belarus, the country’s position in international rankings, the main challenges for the economy and business in 2017, the ways of increasing the efficiency of business and government dialogue, the digital transformation of the economy and other issues.
