MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) – The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Belarus has donated 33 bactericidal air recirculators to four Belarusian residential care facilities, BelTA learned from the Labor and Social Security Ministry.

Air purifiers that can remove pathogenic bacteria, infection and dust will be given to Belarusian residential care facilities in the city of Minsk, Brest Oblast and Minsk Oblast. The total amount of aid is about Br25,000.

The Labor and Social Security Ministry sincerely thanks the Embassy of the Republic of Korea for its assistance and looks forward to continuing fruitful cooperation.

Earlier, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea came forward with a proposal to help social service facilities in Belarus curb the spread of coronavirus infection and offered about $10,000 for the purchase of equipment and other products such institutions need.

Belarus and the Republic of Korea have a long history of humanitarian cooperation. Back in the summer of 2018, the embassy of this state donated five GAZelle cars to social service facilities. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Belarus handed over the keys to the vehicles under the official development assistance program. And a year before that, the National Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children received medical equipment worth $37,000.
