Aircraft brings humanitarian aid from Qatar to Belarus

MINSK, 25 June (BelTA) – An aircraft carrying humanitarian aid on board from Qatar has arrived in Belarus, BelTA has learned.

Deputy Healthcare Minister Boris Androsyuk explained that the aircraft delivered personal protective equipment (face masks, second-class and third-class respirators, protective suits, surgical boots, and surgical gowns).

He added: “Humanitarian aid worth over Br44 million was delivered in the last two months alone. It is impressive.”

The deputy healthcare minister also explained how such cargoes are distributed. “We communicate what we need. Then once a cargo reaches the country, it is cleared by the customs service fast and is distributed across Minsk and the regions. Central healthcare offices of the oblast administrations know what is necessary and where. We are trying to do everything as fast as possible,” Boris Androsyuk noted.

The official thanked the Qatari people for timely aid.

It is the third batch of humanitarian aid delivered over the course of one week. Two aircraft with humanitarian aid from Serbia landed on Monday, 22 June. They brought stationary and mobile artificial lungs, bronchoscopes and other kinds of diagnostic equipment, oxygen concentrators, and thousands of units of personal protective equipment.
