MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko ranks first in terms of trust among Russians for leaders of post-Soviet states, TASS reports, citing data from a survey by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM).

According to the study, the top spot in the rating goes to Aleksandr Lukashenko, who leads with 75% trust, an increase of 10% over ten years. In second place is Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with 25%. Trust in Uzbekistan’s leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev stands at 8%, while Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has 7%. The leaders of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Kyrgyzstan each received 5%, while the leaders of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Moldova each garnered 4%.

Trust assessments are based on several factors: media presence, tone of coverage, and overall attitude toward the country. The survey was conducted in April 2026 and involved 1,600 Russians aged 18 and older.
