MOSCOW, 16 September (BelTA) – Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia will make part of the CIS observation mission will monitor the parliamentary elections in Russia on 18 September, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Union State PA.
The delegation will be led by Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly, Chairman of the International Affairs Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vitaly Busko. The delegation will also comprise Chairman of the Council of the Republic’s Permanent Commission on International Affairs and National Security Vladimir Senko and member of the PA’s commission on social policy, science, culture and humanitarian affairs, Chairman of the Permanent Commission on Education, Culture and Science of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Alexander Segodnik.
The MPs will visit polling stations in Moscow and Rostov Oblast and also hold a number of meetings with representatives of the regional election commissions, Russian legislative and executive bodies. Vitaly Busko is set to meet with Chairman of the Moscow election commission Valentin Gorbunov and hold talks with head of the CIS observer mission Vladimir Garkun.
The draft final document on the results of the observation of the Russian parliamentary elections by the CIS observer mission will be presented at a press conference in the press center of the Russian Central Election Commission on 19 September.
