Union State Council of Ministers to discuss progress in Belarus-Russia integration projects

MINSK, 27 January (BelTA) –The progress in the Belarusian-Russian integration projects will be considered at the Union State Council of Ministers' meeting, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota told media on 27 January, BelTA has learned.

The issue was discussed at today’s meeting of Grigory Rapota with Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov. Integration projects remain relevant, Grigory Rapota stressed. “There is certain progress in addressing the task that has been set forth by the heads of government. It is much likely that the issue will be discussed during the meetings of the two heads of government and at the Council of Ministers’ meeting which is due to take place in the first half of 2015,” he said.

Belarus and Russia are currently working on five integration industrial projects: the automobile holding company Rosbelavto (OAO MAZ-OAO KamAZ); OAO Integral and OAO Russian Electronics of the state corporation Rostekhnologii; OAO Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant and the state corporation Rostekhnologii; OAO Peleng and the Federal Space Agency Roscosmos; OAO Grodno Azot and the mineral fertilizer producer EuroChem or Gazprom Investprojekt.
