MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – Syrian Social Affairs and Labor Minister Rima al-Qadiri has been made familiar with the Belarusian experience of providing social services, BelTA has learned.
Rima al-Qadiri visited the Belarusian national rehabilitation center for children with disabilities in Minsk. She was made familiar with the operation of the institution, which specializes in rehabilitating disabled children, who had been affected by diseases of the nervous system and the musculoskeletal system resulting in locomotive system disorders.
The Syrian minister also visited the national care home for war and labor veterans in Minsk District where she was informed about the accommodation conditions, treatment and recreation conditions the facility offers.
A meeting of representatives of the Belarusian Labor and Social Protection Ministry and the Syrian Social Affairs and Labor Ministry took place at premises of the Belarusian ministry on 24 August. The sides discussed prospects of advancing interagency cooperation, the organization of social services, social rehabilitation of children with disabilities, family policy, and state support for the population.
