MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) - Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, is scheduled to visit Belarus from 19 to 21 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq is expected to meet with Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei and other officials. He is also set to visit the Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ), the department of Urdu language at Minsk State Linguistic University, the National Library, and the Belarusian Museum of the Great Patriotic War History.
Belarus hopes that the visit will keep up the positive momentum in Belarus-Pakistan relations in a wide range of fields.
Belarus-Pakistan cooperation has gained a positive momentum in the recent years. The countries have laid a solid groundwork for cooperation at a new level over a short period of time. Political cooperation is actively complemented by interaction in the parliamentary dimension. In 2017, Belarus-Pakistan reached a record high over the last eight years, up 17% versus 2016.
