MOSCOW, 13 May (BelTA) – Belarus-Russia interaction in the field of information technology and digitization, mass communications and mass media was reviewed at a meeting between Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Yuri Seliverstov and Russian Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadayev, the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission told BelTA.
“Special attention was paid to practical matters of implementing the procedure for recognizing electronic signatures in electronic documents during cross-border electronic interaction in the context of needs of citizens and businesses. The current situation with the acquisition of SIM cards of Russian mobile carriers by Belarusian legal persons and natural persons was also considered in detail,” the press service said.
The parties gave a positive assessment to the launch of the Soyuzny TV channel and discussed directions for the further development of the Union State Media Company and the Union State mass media.
“The parties exchanged opinions about the already adopted changes and planned changes in the Russian legislation that regulates the Russian segment of the Internet,” the diplomatic mission added.
