MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) - Serbia President Tomislav Nikolic is planning to go on a three-day visit to Belarus on 18 November, BelTA learned from Dragomir Karic, Belarus’ Honorary Consul in Belgrade, the Chairman of the Serbia-Belarus Friendship Group in the Serbian Parliament. The Serbian MP attended the Belarus President inauguration ceremony on 6 November.
Dragomir Karic finds it symbolic that the Serbian President will visit Minsk shortly after the inauguration of the President of Belarus. "Serbia considers Belarus important strategic partner," he said.
The Honorary Consul is sure that this visit will contribute towards the further development of the Belarusian-Serbian contacts and trade and economic cooperation. In his opinion, there are prospects for opening new joint ventures which products may be exported to the markets of third countries.
