MINSK, 29 July (BelTA) – The Belarusian Ministry of Defense is expanding its military cooperation with African states: a Rwandan military attaché has been accredited in Belarus for the first time, BelTA learned from the Ministry of Defense.
Vitaly Poluyan, Acting Head of the Department of International Military Cooperation and Assistant to the Defense Minister, established working contacts with Colonel Baguma Mpagaze Anthony, the Rwandan Defense Attaché accredited concurrently to Belarus and Russia. The parties discussed the prospects of interaction between the defense ministries of the two countries.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Rwanda to Belarus and concurrently to Russia Joseph Nzabamwita was also present at the event. On 28 July, the ambassador had presented his credentials to the Belarusian president.
