MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) – Belarus’ Defense Minister Andrei Ravkov will take part in the CSTO Defense Ministers Council meeting due in Astana, Kazakhstan on 23 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Defense Ministry.

The defense ministers will exchange views on the training of military personnel of the CSTO member states up to 2020, will discuss joint training of command and control bodies as well as forces and assets of the CSTO collective security system in 2019. Consideration will be given to the challenges and threats to military security in the Central Asian region of collective security.

During the working trip to Kazakhstan the Belarusian delegation will also visit the International Exhibition Weapons Systems and Military Equipment KADEX 2018.
