MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko had a meeting at the U.S. National Security Council on 11 May as part of his visit to the United States, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The meeting at the U.S. National Security Council reviewed the state and development prospects of the cooperation between Belarus and the United States,” the press service said.

Oleg Kravchenko also held a number of bilateral meetings. For instance, the diplomat met with representatives of the U.S. Helsinki Commission to discuss the situation in Eastern Europe and matters related to the preparations for the OSCE PA Annual Session in Minsk in July.

Oleg Kravchenko met with U.S. Congressman Christopher Smith representing New Jersey’s 4th Congressional District. “The parties discussed the state and prospects of the bilateral cooperation,” the press service noted.
