Prospects of Belarus’ cooperation with ODIHR, OSCE PA discussed

MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – Prospects of Belarus’ cooperation with the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly were discussed during the meeting of Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei, special coordinator of the OSCE short-term observation mission Kent Harstedt, and OSCE ODIHR Director Michael Georg Link on 12 October, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

The sides discussed results of the international observation of the Belarus president election as well as prospects of Belarus’ further cooperation with the ODIHR and the OSCE PA.

On 12 October Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Valentin Rybakov met with the delegation of observers sent by the People’s Republic of China led by Yu Zhenqi, Ambassador of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting the sides exchanged views about the organization and results of the presidential election. Topical matters concerning Belarus-China cooperation were mentioned as well.
