Presidents approve Belarus-Indonesia cooperation roadmap

JAKARTA, 2 July (BelTA) – A roadmap for developing key areas of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Indonesia for 2026-2030 received the green light from Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto during their talks in Jakarta on 2 July, BelTA has learned. 

“I reaffirm the commitment of the Belarusian side to achieving all the goals and objectives set out in the roadmap for developing key areas of cooperation between Belarus and Indonesia through 2030. This is the most important of the documents we have signed,” the Belarusian leader said following the talks.

Documents on promoting cooperation in various sectors were also signed during the visit.

Memorandums were signed in the fields of industrial cooperation, culture, healthcare, and accreditation.

The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency inked an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation.

The chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries also signed a cooperation agreement.

A memorandum of understanding was concluded between the National Bank of Belarus and Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority.

Another memorandum concerns cooperation on the exchange of information related to the laundering of criminal proceeds, the financing of terrorism, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
