Political maturity of Belarusian society noted

MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian society is mature from the political point of view. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the relevant statement as he addressed the nation and the parliament on 19 April, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “I should note that among the questions submitted during the recent meeting with the expert community and reporters there were a lot proposals on the development of regions. Their residents truly root for their native land. They suggest interesting decisions on the development of towns and villages. There are initiatives, which – without an exaggeration – concern the future of the entire country, its further social, economic and political development: from the role of trade unions to the improvement of legislation and proposals to amend our Constitution. I am glad that people think big and take matters close to heart. No doubt, it testifies to the political maturity of our society.”

In his words, such initiatives represent valuable feedback for all government agencies. “In essence, they are a roadmap for our actions,” the head of state stressed.
