Poland welcomes balanced approach of Belarusian media to coverage of world events

MINSK, 26 August (BelTA) – Belarusian Information Minister Lilia Ananich had a working meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Belarus Konrad Pawlik. The meeting was initiated by the Polish side. Relevant information is posted on the website of the Belarusian Information Ministry, BelTA has learned.

The parties discussed a number of current issues of mutual interest and also prospects of bilateral cooperation in press and information.

The Polish side highlighted the positive dynamics of Belarusian-Polish cooperation in different areas. However, it stressed the need for effective media coverage of the bilateral interaction. “Konrad Pawlik welcomed the balanced approach of the Belarusian media to the coverage of world events,” the post on the website reads.

Lilia Ananich, for her part, stressed the importance of objective media coverage of the bilateral cooperation and establishment of mutually beneficial contacts between media companies and creative institutions.

The parties agreed to further strengthen media cooperation.
