MINSK, 25 November (BelTA) – Plans have been made to present the best youth initiatives of the CIS member states in Belarus in Q2 of 2016, BelTA learned from the Information and Analysis Department of the CIS Executive Committee.

The countries of the CIS are working to implement the strategy for international youth cooperation for the period until 2020. “The strategy is built around the idea that youth cooperation is a major factor for ensuring sustainable social, economic, scientific and technical development of the CIS, promoting friendly relations between the countries, and enhancing their competitiveness in the context of globalization,” the department said.

The strategy provides for the development of special plans of events. The plan for 2016-2017 was adopted at the meeting of the CIS Heads of Government that took place in Dushanbe in October 2015.

The document envisages organization of such events as the Youth Delphic Games, the international youth forum Friendship Without Borders, the forum of youth organizations, the international project 100 Ideas For CIS, and others. There are plans to present the best youth initiatives of the project 100 Ideas For CIS in Belarus in Q2 of 2016.

The plan of events for 2016-2017 also includes an international conference on informal education, a festival of student theaters, the CIS Youth Interparliamentary Forum, and many others.
