People with disabilities, war veterans promised continuing social care

MINSK, 21 April (BelTA) – The state will continue providing care to people with disabilities, war veterans, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said in his State of the Nation Address on 21 April, BelTA has learned.

“The provision of social care to people with disabilities is another area that the government should focus on,” the head of state stressed.

“We have always been paying special attention to the needs of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and other wars. We resolved their problems, including the housing issues which are the most difficult ones, earlier than other countries of Eastern Europe and the CIS did. We remember their unprecedented courage and resilience, and we will continue taking measures to improve the quality of life of these people,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.
