MINSK, 16 August (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Pakistan Andrei Yermolovich and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Zaheer Aslam Janjua of Pakistan reffirmed the mutual interest of the two countries in the development of political dialogue and trade and economic relations as Pakistan has formed a new government, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy.
“The parties indicated an understanding of the importance of developing the Belarusian-Pakistani cooperation and bringing it to a qualitatively new level, bearing in mind the positive momentum built up in recent years during the highest-level visits,” the embassy said.
The meeting discussed the current cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, the measures to develop the legal framework of bilateral relations and the schedule of visits on various levels.
“To maintain the positive momentum of bilateral trade and economic relations the parties discussed the dates and agenda of the fifth session of the joint Belarusian-Pakistani commission for trade and economic cooperation, and of the working groups for industrial cooperation and agriculture,” the embassy said.
