Pakistan PM to visit Belarus soon

ISLAMABAD, 29 May (BelTA) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan has accepted Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko’s invitation to pay a visit to Belarus, BelTA has learned.

On 29 May Islamabad played host to the official face-to-face talks between the President of Belarus and the Prime Minister of Pakistan and then a meeting with the extended participation.

After the talks Alexander Lukashenko told reporters that the parties agreed that the Prime Minister of Pakistan would bring a representative delegation to Belarus somewhere in August. Ahead of the visit Minsk will host a meeting of the business council and the intergovernmental commission to discuss the agreements reached during the current visit of the Belarusian head of state to Pakistan. “We will start implementing the agreements so that the visit of the Prime Minister would be filled with concrete content and so that the memoranda signed today would transform into concrete contracts between companies and government bodies,” the Belarusian leader said.

The parties also agreed that Pakistan’s specialists will visit Belarus to make the forthcoming visit of the Prime Minister a far-reaching and historical one.
