MINSK, 3 September (BelTA) – The meeting of the secretaries of Security Councils of the United States, Poland, Ukraine and Belarus in Warsaw corresponds entirely to the Minsk initiatives to expand international dialogue, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Stanislav Zas told the media on 3 September, BelTA has learned.

Stanislav Zas called for “not seeking any hidden meaning in the meeting, not making any conspiracy theories”. “This meeting corresponds entirely to our Minsk initiatives to expand international dialogue with a view to ensuring peace and security,” he said.

The meeting of the secretaries of the Security Councils of the United States, Poland, Ukraine and Belarus in Warsaw took place in late August at the initiative of the foreign colleagues, Stanislav Zas added.

The state secretary of the Security Council named the meeting “a good opportunity to listen to each other, voice the problems and threats in the region and worldwide”. “I cannot say that all our assessment and opinions coincided, which proves we need such a dialogue,” he stressed.

“We remain committed to a peaceful regulation of all the issues by political and diplomatic means only,” Stanislav Zas said. Belarus confirmed its readiness to foster the process, the state secretary added.
