Nearly 43,000 Ukrainian citizens arrive in Belarus since 1 January 2024

MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) – Since 1 January of this year, nearly 43,000 nationals of Ukraine have entered Belarus, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.

Since the start of this year, 42,788 Ukrainian citizens arrived in Belarus. Of them, 33,103 people came in transit through Poland, 9,162 through Lithuania, 501 through Latvia and 22 through Ukraine.

All in all, since 24 February 2022, 189,280 Ukrainian nationals have arrived in Belarus: 15,940 people came directly from Ukraine, 130,891 Ukrainian citizens came in transit through Poland, 37,412 through Lithuania, and 5,037 through Latvia.
