Minsk hosting Belarus-Poland ministerial consultations

MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) – Minsk is hosting Belarus-Poland ministerial consultations on international and legal issues, Spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told media on 2 June, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian delegation is led by Deputy Director of the General Department of Legal Affairs and Treaties of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrei Metelitsa, the Polish delegation – by Deputy Director of the Legal and Treaty Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Konrad Marciniak. The parties will discuss the current international and legal issues of bilateral cooperation, including those related to cooperation in the Council of Europe.

The Belarusian and Polish delegation will also take a review of the bilateral international agreements and other international documents valid between Belarus and Poland. The parties will also share the best practices in their implementation as well as the work on new draft international and legal documents.

Belarus and Poland have signed more than 60 international bilateral documents. The development of the legal framework and contacts in international and legal issues strengthen mutual understanding between the countries and creates the best conditions for cooperation. It also promotes the development of economic cooperation and simplifies interpersonal relations between the two nations, Dmitry Mironchik noted.
