MFA to inform Western countries about genocide of Belarusian people during wartime

MINSK, 6 May (BelTA) - The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will inform the Western countries about the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War, Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei told the media on 6 May, BelTA has learned.

Vladimir Makei emphasized the importance of the work conducted by the Prosecutor General's Office to uncover new facts of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War. The genocide of the Belarusians is confirmed by new evidence today.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will take this into account in its activity,” said the minister. According to him, an important task for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this regard will be to inform the Western countries about the recently revealed facts: “We have to show what really happened in Khatyn, in Trostenets, in Yama, and in many other places where Belarusian people and foreign citizens were exterminated. We are now developing specific measures to bring this information to the Western community.
