MINSK, 5 December (BelTA) – The Meeting of the Heads of Government of the Central European Initiative (CEI) will take place at the National Library of Belarus in Minsk on 12 December as part of Belarus’ presidency in the organization, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event will focus on the increasing role of the CEI member states in promoting compatibility and complementarity of different integration processes in Greater Europe, including the unification of efforts against new threats to stability in the region and strengthening pragmatic economic cooperation between different integration formats. The participants of the event are also expected to consider the CEI plan of actions for 2018-2020.
The CEI presidency will go to Croatia in 2018.
Representatives of foreign media outlets interested in covering the event should submit the corresponding application to the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs before 12h00 on 7 December.
