MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei will meet with Jean Asselborn, Foreign and European Affairs Minister of Luxembourg, in Minsk on 14 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Jean Asselborn arrived in Belarus on a working visit on 13 September. This is the first visit of the head of the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs to Belarus. On 14 September, Vladimir Makei and Jean Asselborn will discuss the whole range of issues related to bilateral relations and cooperation between Belarus and the European Union.

The ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries have bolstered their ties considerably in recent times. This will be the third bilateral meeting between the ministers since the beginning of 2015.
