MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei will lead the Belarusian delegation to the next meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council that will take place in Tashkent on 7 April, spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told a press briefing on 6 April, BelTA has learned.
The agenda for the meeting includes 15 items related to the cooperation among the CIS member states in politics, economy and culture, the collaboration among the foreign ministries, and the coordination of the activities of law-enforcement agencies.
The meeting will also discuss a set of issues concerning the implementation of the decision of the CIS Heads of State Council to adapt the Commonwealth of Independent States to the realities of today.
Dmitry Mironchik noted that it is of critical importance for Belarus to carry out a balanced and gradual modernization of the CIS Economic Court to enhance its operations.
