MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei offered European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn to share opinions on the forthcoming Eastern Partnership (EaP) summit in Riga on a meeting on 17 April, BelTA informs.
“I would also like to share visions on the European neighborhood policy which is undergoing changes today,” Vladimir Makei added. The Belarusian minister welcomed the EU representative and stressed that Johannes Hahn’s visit to Belarus proves positive changes in the development of bilateral relations.
Mr Khan is in Belarus on a working visit on 16-17 April. The European Commissioner is scheduled to hold a series of meetings to discuss the current issues of cooperation between Belarus and the EU, and the Eastern Partnership Initiative. At the meeting with Vladimir Makei he stressed that he had a chance to meet with representatives of the civil society.
