Makei, Kurz discuss prospects of Eastern Partnership initiative

MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei and Austrian Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs Sebastian Kurz met in Minsk on 4 May to talk over the development prospects of the Eastern Partnership initiative, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The sides exchanged views on the cooperation between Belarus and the European Union. They talked over a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda with an emphasis on the Belarus-Austria trade, economic, and political cooperation, and also discussed several issues on the international and regional agenda,” the press service added.

The parties reached an agreement on the organization of a number of events to be held by the end of 2015. The list of events includes the next round of ministerial consultations and the 12th session of the Belarus-Austria intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation.
