Makei discusses human rights with EU special representative

MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei has had a telephone conversation with EU Special Representative for Human Rights Eamon Gilmore, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The parties discussed Belarus-EU cooperation in the field of human rights and efforts to fight the spread of the coronavirus infection,” the press service informed. They also exchanged views on cooperation prospects between Belarus and the OSCE.

“Vladimir Makei noted that Belarus regularly discusses human rights issues with the EU and the USA in the spirit of mutual respect and intends to continue doing so,” the press service added.
