Makei: Belarus has something to offer to integration associations

MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) - Belarus has something to offer to the integration associations in various regions of the world, Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said in an interview with the Belarus 1 TV channel.

According to the minister, today almost every continent has established regional associations, which have the common customs space and economic approaches. Interaction with them is quite advantageous for Belarus. "We have something to offer to these associations: Belarus has well-developed agriculture, manufacturing industry, advanced processing industry," said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

Vladimir Makei noted that he sees the idea of "integration of integrations" once suggested by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko as the concept of the future. "Today the close interaction between the various integration bodies and associations is an objective reality. The summits in Ufa confirmed the viability of this idea,” said the Minister.

"Despite the fact that we are sometimes on different continents, represent different countries, we have one goal, namely to ensure the well-being of our people," said Vladimir Makei.
