MINSK, 19 December (BelTA) - On the initiative of the Venezuelan side, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov held a telephone conversation with Venezuela counterpart Yván Gil Pinto on 19 December 2025, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The parties reaffirmed the friendly and open character of Belarusian-Venezuelan interstate dialogue and discussed the most pressing issues on the bilateral agenda,” the ministry said.
Yván Gil Pinto informed his Belarusian counterpart about the situation in the Caribbean basin and conveyed words of gratitude from Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro to Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko for the comprehensive support provided to Caracas.
In turn, Maxim Ryzhenkov affirmed the position of the Belarusian head of state that any aggressive actions and escalation towards Venezuela are unacceptable and futile, and that a peaceful path is the only alternative for resolving all issues.
