MINSK, 18 December (BelTA) – Mobile carriers should enable uniformly stable communication in any populated locality. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement in his address to the nation and the parliament on 18 December, BelTA has learned.
Speaking about digitization and the development of the national IT industry, the head of state drew attention to the problem of reliable and fast mobile communication.
“People complain about it all over the country. The amount of money families spend on Internet access is already comparable to other utilities,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stated.
“I mean that considering their rather large incomes mobile carriers should enable uniformly stable communication in any populated locality. No excuses will be accepted anymore,” the president stressed.
Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed the government to resolve the problem literally within 2026. “I have signed all the regulatory enactments you’ve wanted me to,” he concluded.
