Lukashenko wants Belarusian medics to work in native land

Lukashenko wants Belarusian medics to work in native land

MINSK, 31 December (BelTA) – It is necessary to enable all the conditions for Belarusian medics to work in the native land instead of roaming all over the world in search of a better life. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the relevant statement while talking to the staff of the Minsk Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital on 31 December, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “You live in good conditions here. I thought you’d been building this hospital for a long time but the oblast governor said that everything was completed within 1.5 years. And well done. Now we will build rental housing little by little. We will endeavor to keep you working in the native land instead of roaming all over the world in search of a better life.”

“But I am glad that some of you have fled but now they want to come back (I have a stack of materials and documents on my desk). I wondered why they want to come back and away from good wages and the rest. They say Belarus has a unique healthcare system. As a complex. On the whole,” the president noted.

The head of state stated that it is difficult for Belarusian specialists to realize their potential abroad despite high qualifications. “And it is surprising. I thought that Poles are our people, our kindred folks, Slavs and the rest. That they will never offend our people. But nothing of the kind: these are Poles while everyone else is shoved aside. Ukrainians, Belarusians, and so on,” Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked. “But if someone wants to try it, be my guest. I wouldn’t like it but it is up to you. Feel free to make your choice.”
