Lukashenko wants army in perfect condition

BARANOVICHI DISTRICT, 24 September (BelTA) – We need to shake things up in the army and bring it to perfect condition, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a meeting during his visit to the 230th combined arms military training area Obuz-Lesnovsky on 24 September, BelTA has learned.

The head of state recalled his instruction to improve the training in the army: "There should be no extremely grueling training, but the servicemen should be physically fit. Physical training exercises, firearms and tactical trainings and the study of modern weapons should be their priorities."

"We need to shake things up in the army and make it perfect since we have unity of society and discipline. Once we finish harvesting and other works in agriculture we will conduct very serious inspections. We will inspect the whole military sector. Not only the army, but also the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Security Committee. Everyone has been assigned the tasks, everyone knows what to do," Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.
