Lukashenko wants Academy of Public Administration to become country’s best university

Lukashenko wants Academy of Public Administration to become country’s best university

MINSK, 13 October (BelTA) – Gaps in personnel work must be eliminated and the university must be made the best in the country, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as appointed the new rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA has learned.

Denis Duk, who until now served as Rector of Kuleshov Mogilev State University, has been appointed Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus. He replaces Igor Buzovsky, who had led the institution since June 2024.

“The personnel chaos at the Academy of Public Administration is unacceptable. This is a terrible mistake by the Presidential Administration,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said addressing Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi.

The head of state directed the new rector to work effectively to bring the academy to leading positions in the country. Yet, according to the president, Kuleshov Mogilev State University should not be neglected and a worthy candidate needs to be selected for the vacant position of rector there. "I very, very much count on your work at the Academy of Public Administration,” the president said. "But the university in Mogilev must not be brought to its knees either. Please select new candidates to the post of rector. These must be strong candidates. The university is small but not simple. Therefore, please get involved in this work to resolve the personnel issue there and also do your absolute best to make the Academy of Public Administration the best in the country,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he addressed Denis Duk.

“Mr President, the task will be accomplished,” the rector replied.
