Lukashenko to take part in Nationwide Conference on Teaching

Nationwide Conference on Teaching 2017MINSK, 23 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko will take part in the Nationwide Conference on Teaching on 24 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The event will take place in the form of an open discussion. Partaking in it will be over 800 people, including high-ranking officials, heads of government bodies and local authorities, MPs, workers of educational institutions from all regions of Belarus and the city of Minsk. In an open mic format, they will share their ideas and experience in various fields.

It is expected that the plenary session of the Nationwide Conference on Teaching will focus on the ongoing transformations and trends in educational processes, their adaptation to the demands of the time taking into account the best Belarusian and foreign practices. The participants will evaluate the results of development of all elements of the education system in Belarus, determine the prospects of its improvement. In the center of attention will be the role of teachers, principles and approaches to the education of the younger generation.

There will also be an exhibition of creative achievements of teachers, study guides and textbooks, new technologies in education. One of the innovations is the so-called smart school bus using special software to guarantee additional protection of students.

The televised version of the plenary session of the Nationwide Conference on Teaching will be broadcast by the Belarus 1 and Belarus 24 TV channels at 21:30 on 24 August.
